Rotary Scholar Sponsored by San Jose East/Evergreen Rotary

Amy Hong, a former Global Grant Scholar, will speak about her types of civic engagement since her Rotary-funded year at the London School of Economics. She will speak about her work in Nairobi, Kenya and to protect the rights of women and migrants in her capacity at the UN and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris. This year, Amy has devoted herself to piecing together the intricate and human story of her own extended family's migration from Vietnam. She is now eager to use her repertoire of professional and personal experiences to build bridges of understanding between diverse communities.
